BRADLEY JAMES RYAN IS A GUITARIST-SINGER-SONGWRITER FROM SURREY, BRITISH COLUMBIA CANADA AND HE HAS RECORDED 2 ORIGINAL ALBUMS TO DATE: “THE CATHEDRAL EFFECT” RELEASED IN FEBRUARY 2023, AND “IT’S ONLY TEMPORARY” TO BE RELEASED IN NOVEMBER 2023.

Brad has been playing guitar Forever....well since 1981 to be exact, after seeing his first Concert by the band RUSH on The Moving Pictures Tour!
Sadly, He ( well “I”, since it’s “Me” writing this—lets be honest!) possessed No Natural Musical Gifts and pretty much sucked for the first 15 yrs! However, after much perseverance and an outright refusal to give up, the lights slowly turned on, and as Fate would have it, I joined my first band, THE DEAD DOLLS, in Playa Del Carmen Mexico in 1993, at 27 yrs old, Playing Bass in a cover band that played songs by the Ramones, Neil Young, MotorHead and everything in between.
That eventually led to learning how to sing, jamming with the Chivo Azul Blues Band and writing original material as well as starting a small recording studio (the first MOJO ZONE RECORDING STUDIO) and playing in a variety of different cover bands and Duo’s and Trio’s like THE CULTURE ORPHANS and LOS GRINGOS PERDIDOS from 1993-2010.
Since moving back to Canada in 2010, I’ve been practicing my ass off, and writing a ton of instrumental guitar music (coming soon!) and playing in a few different cover projects, currently with THE MADHATTERS, along with my good friend and drummer CURTIS BATESON, singer/guitarist ROSS HAZELHURST and DARRIN LEVIS on bass, and of course, learning how to make and Record these 2 albums-The Cathedral Effect, and It’s Only Temporary!

12 news Songs in a few different styles with lyrics that tell the story of where I’ve been, and where some of the People that I know and love have also been, while on this amazing journey that we we call Life.
Heartbreak, Love’s gone wrong and (surprisingly!) even some Love’s that have gone right , along with a song about addiction and a little Zen-Blue-Grass ditty called “Ghosts in my Head” are all on here.
The blues song “Light of the Moon” was written in Mexico over 20 years ago while I was playing in cover bands and learning to play and sing and finally gets the full treatment with horns and keys here.

Funeral For a Tree-Song/Video
The song that started it all…..after my neighbour illegally cut down this 100+ yr old Oak Tree in January 2021, I was either gonna blow a gasket or make a song/video about the event. Little did I suspect that I was about to embark on a recording adventure with Producer/Engineer David Jewer that has so far produced 24 songs and counting.
The song Funeral for a Tree turned out so well that I asked David Jewer (Producer/Engineer) if I could book all his Saturdays for the next year.
We started to record this album in winter of 2021 and finally managed to release it in Feb. 2023. Many of the songs were written in Mexico during the 2000’s and I played them live with several different bands like The Culture Orphans, Los Gringos Perdidos and The Mojo Service blues band.
A mix of Rock, Blues and a couple Country-ish tunes with witty lyrics, if I do say so myself !
